Ibiza is waking up, the “Must Do’s “?

Ibiza is awakening. The big fun beach clubs and restaurants are opening their doors for this coming summer season 2018. The search for season waiters, cooks and poppers has started and our IWI team is looking forward to a great, sunny and romantic summer season 2018.

Are you going to Ibiza this spring or this summer? No matter when u travel by yourself or with a group, below we have written the nicest (beach) restaurants, the “Must Do” & Funny Activities

The clubs are opening by the end of May and at the beginning of June. The best time to go to our beloved, tropical island is by the end of May opening & closing September / October. Also less people and better prices as July and August. The temperature is very hot at that time and the island is very packed with tourists.

You definitely need to visit Formentera, there are different ways to get there. You can go on a party boat, private boot with only a maximum of 6 or 12 persons or you can go with the Balearic boat. Step on in the port of Ibiza Town. (across the Mc Donald’s) Buy the boat ticket in the port, it’s so worth it and it is rather cheap! Rent a car, bike or bicycle and tour around the island. Don’t forget to see playa Illetes with their white beaches and cristal turquoise, blue water.. Have a nice trip and enjoy the island

Go to Cala d’Hort beach overlooking Es Vedra or if you find someone who can take you to the cliffs overlooking Es Vedra the rock, it’s worth a try. You can also let us arrange a luxury or a romantic picnic with candles, cushions and other luxury decoration included with a biologic, lovely meal in a surrounding of bohemian nature and overlooking the Mediterranean sea. In the evening you will have the most beautiful sunset the island offers you, it’s mythic! Or you can go to three restaurants in that area: Es Bolado (not on the beach), Cala d’Hort Restaurant. and El Carmen: all with terrific views.

Benirras beach is famous for its drummers at sunset on Sundays, however, that’s become “touristy” and too crowded. Go on another night for the real charm, just arrive early enough to park if you drive. If you are looking for live music and the hippy scene go to Chirincana on Cala Martina and also Las Dalias hippy market is nice to see, lovely to eat and dance as they have special Namaste music nights.

We personally love Ses Salinas beach which is not too far from Es Cavalet. Sa Trinxa beach/restaurant is situated on the beach of Salinas and is a great restaurant to wine, dine and dance to the best DJ’s mostly with act which let the music flows over the beach. It starts around 16.00 hours particular days. (a little walk down from the Jockey Club). In Es Cavalet are two restaurants, La Escollera. It’s a little pricey but the atmosphere with the loungers is perfect for lovers, with a group of friends or when you’re alone. The other is El Chirinquito, a nice restaurant serving a good vibe.

Dalt villa is a great climb to spot Spanish history. (the castle on the hill) Once you got up the hill you will have an amazing view but put comfy shoes on as the stones could be difficult to walk on. S’Escalinata restaurant, near the western entrance to Dalt Villa is a great hang out place on the chairs and cushions they’ve got out on the stairs. A perfect place to enjoy a bite and/or drink while watching the people walk by but Ibiza old town is also great to have a look around. We really love the Old Town with all the shops and lively restaurants surrounding Dalt Villa as well as up in the walled city. It will be a bit crowded in the evening while dinner time. Place for window shopping, carb a sushi meal or just having meal in terrace café, all is possible.

There’s also a great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant called Bodega’s, just below the walled city. It’s to the left of the Portal de see Taules. Look on the “Meet me in Ibiza” forums on Ibiza-spotlight and see who else is going to be over there at the same time.

Creamfields Ibiza 2018 is a festival which takes place from the 08/23/2018 at 10:39 till 08/26/2018 at 10:39 in Privilege Ibiza. They have various stages and a good line up. Definitely worth going. Best house clubs are of course Amnesia & Pacha. For pre-party, you must go at Ushuaia and if you like a little bit harder style then go to Es Paradis in San Antonio.

If you are only a couple of days in Ibiza, it’s better to stay in the same hotel and just rent a scooter to explore the island. It will be easier and you’ll see everything or you can go by buses (actually very good in Ibiza & not expensive at all!). San Antonio is a place where’s happening during sunset times. There are Café Mambo with their own DJ’s playing on the strip. But you will also find the famous Café Del Mar , Mint, and many more. You can find bed & breakfast, hostel, Airbnb etc. Visit Cala Salada with splendid water. Near San Antoni, you will find a wonderful little beach named Cala Gracionetta but there is less animations and parties.

For extreme sports you will find a big Whipe Out stage ‘Ocean Mania” in the port of San Antonio, do you dare to go on? You can also Fly-board, jet-ski or with the peddle boat just taking it easy.

For a first time in Ibiza then we recommend the two better locations to meet people are San Antonio & Playa d’en Bossa. From Ibiza town you can take bus. Playa d’en Bossa is a cool area which beautiful beach for chilling’ at day time. We Love the street where’s many shops around. Walk to the club like “HI” (The earlier Space) or Ushuaia near bora bora beach. Good atmosphere in the afternoon.
Playa d’en Bossa near Ibiza town is THE place to party all day & night with many clubs, pool parties, nice long beach with many sunbeds and restaurants for every taste…

If you like the country side stay in Santa Eulalia, San Carlos or somewhere north to see the Spanish and nicer parts and check out Hidden where you can sleep in a treehouse and restaurant “On the Beach”. This great restaurant is hip, trendy and has put their restaurant charm for what us says in the title!

If you are tired of all seeing this then crab a movie in the “open air cinema” You can hire them exclusively or you can search on their Facebook and buy a ticket in Ibiza town or at Amante.
Enjoy & have a great trip in Ibiza!! Sea, sun & fun
Love from the IWI crew x
